A Winter Sunday :: Christmas Markets + Macarons

Christmas Markets

The previous pictures are from yesterday's afternoon when we decided to head over to town to embrace the Christmas spirit by browsing through the cutest Christmas markets. I'm such a fan of the festive period and any festive printed/themed thing that if there's one thing that can make me willing to face the cold and the rain, that has to be Christmas shops or markets. Jam-packed with festive related tiny objects, Christmas decoration, snow & deer printed throws and decor elements, and a bunch of traditional market food like bretzels, crepes, pancakes, these markets definitely deserved a visit even if it was pouring rain and too many umbrellas were around.

We actually grabbed the opportunity to spend the afternoon browsing around town, finding shelter from the rain in inside shops, and eating handicraft colorful macarons we found at the markets - but after trying to snap some pictures balancing the umbrella on the shoulder and avoiding to smash the macarons along the way (which was impossible, I'd add), we gave up and ate them once in the car.

Those were one of the first Christmas markets this year to be around, however I'm sure there'll be other occasions to spend a few more hours browsing through some traditional handicraft in the next few weeks before Christmas. And if you are one that can already feel the Christmas spirit and is feeling festive, I can't suggest a better way to spend your Sunday afternoon this December - make sure to check out where and when to find the nearest Christmas markets this year here!

P.s. :: It's the 1st of December, who is excited? Me? Yup.
