In March I've Loved...

March is already over! Can you really believe it?! I'm ready for the new month to come though, as April is by far my favourite time of the year; with Easter, spring coming to its climax, a few exciting opportunities ahead and my blog's birthday, how couldn't I be as excited as ever for it to come?! Springtime it's cheering me up (bye bye winter blues!) and this not only means I'm pretty excited for literally everything, but also that I'm trying as much as I can to improve my mood and positivity... and also that I started enjoying and appreciating everything I have around, both material or abstract. So yep, expect a huge list of favourites this month! Ready?

Stationery.
You might have guessed I have quite an insane obsession to stationery by now, but this month a pair of little treats has been added to my collection. No notebooks in sight (I have way too many, right?), but I've got that beautiful trio of colourful washi tape from Tiger last week, and I'm obsessed! The leopard print one must be my favourite! That adorable cat pencil case is from Petite Mila: made out of 100% organic cotton and the cutest designs, her pouches (which easily double up as pencil cases or whatever you want them to be) and tote bags are probably the most adorable things I've seen in a while, and the quality is amazing too!

Candle.
If it's not a mug than it's a candle that seems to always appear in my monthly favourites! But I love them! Ikea candles: sometimes they're lovely others not that much. They are super duper cheap, as cheap as a full size candle can get, but sometimes they don't really smell of anything really. That's not the case! This LUGGA Soft Vanilla Candle is one of the best I've got from them (especially on the vanilla department) and it won't last as long, but it surely makes my room smell intensely sweet as sometimes only expensive candles can do!

Kitchen.
No new mugs this month (I've been forbibben to buy any other!) but a new entry between the ceramic bowls (similar) was needed when I spotted this cute hearts bowl in a local shop. It's the cutest thing to eat breakfast in, and pastel colours make the whole experience even more enjoyable. I mean, there must be a theory of something that says colorful tableware makes people happy, right?

Style.
My wardrobe definitely needed a few spring new additions as everything looked a bit too grey and black and white and... woolly. I've got this Forever21 Coral Ruffled Dress on sale on a very impulsive online shopping session and I couldn't have been more right. I'm obsessed. I love the ruffled collar and neckline and the flowy skirt is the most flattering on me. I can already see me wearing it non-stop this spring!

Makeup.
I'm not one that mention makeup that often on here anymore, but I've been loving this Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick And Thin Liner - not sure where they are going with the "thick and thin" thing, but I surely like the waterproof formula and the thin felt tip for a fool-proof application. I seem to be able to make my eyeliner look almost identical on both the eyes with this one and it's something that rarely happens to me!

Drink.
Jasmine green tea, what a lovely invention! I've become quite the fan of green tea (only think I didn't like it at all and now I drink a cup practically everyday) especially when combined with floral or citrus flavours (I've rambled about tea flavours lately here if you'd like to read more on the topic) and I've discovered jasmine green tea is probably my favourite thing ever! The tea in the pictures is from RealTea which I think is only available in Italy, but the Jing Jasmine Silver Needle Tea is another favourite of mine.

App.
Believe it or not I'm quite over Instagram and that's all thanks to Steller (and the fact that Instagram pictures never come out as I like, arg!). Steller is a way like another (but neater and surely well-arranged) to tell a story. It allows you to put together a few pictures and phrases and displays them in beautifully disposed pages users can flip through like they're reading a real book. It's like a pocket-sized blog, where photography and writing meet into creative stories! I love reading and flipping through others stories as well as creating my own. I'm completely obsessed and have decided that would be the place where to publish all those never-seen blog posts I thought they weren't that relevant to appear over here (including never-seen recipes, I'm warning you!) - so if you like to have a peek or give me a follow type 'mielcafeblog' in the search bar of the app or check my stories out over here.

Workout Clothes.
I've treated myself to some new yoga clothes recently as I've been good and stuck with it until now! I've especially been loving these super inexpensive Striped Knit Tops from Forever21 as they're just the perfect material for moving into them without feeling too tight or too loose.

And that's a wrap! These are my favourite from March! I'm excited for the new month to come as for spring to completely flourish and to discover new places and things this springtime! So do let me know what you've loved this month! x

Woodbuds

I've already introduced you to Woodbuds once, but it was about time I shared the love for these earphones and the company behind them by going a little bit deeper! I've scrolled through their Instagram way too many times recently and these pictures were in fact inspired by them, by their philosophy and the idea of taking my Woodbuds anywhere with me in my travels and adventures! I'm totally a fan of this spring-ish weather lately, and I'm sure we'll be able to go out and explore a lot more very soon, but it was nice to get out there, tune in a favourite playlist and simply be there enjoying the moment.

I'm completely fascinated by Woodbuds as a brand: there's something truly unique and different about the design of their earphones (which, btw, don't even tangle when they get lost in my way-too-busy-handbag!) - but it's mainly about their ethics and their commitment to a small carbon footprint: just think they plant a tree every 100 earphones sold and donate 1% of the sales for the environment. Plus they makes for a good and aesthetically pleasing wooden accessory, noise-isolating, different and unique in-ear earphones, one of those you don't really see that often! I could seriously go for each and everyone of those beautiful colours and build a little collection! ... And maybe I will! x

In February I've Loved...

In February I've Loved...

Where has February gone? I know it's a monthly favourites cliché, but seriously, this month has flown by! However, I'm kinda glad the shorter, gloomier month of the year has gone, as, even if it's seen a few nice highlights, I'm totally, completely, entirely ready for springtime! Bring me the warmer weather, the thin layers, the fresh flowers, the juicier fruits and better tasting vegetables please! I'm so totally done with winter this year...

The end of a month also means it's time for the monthly roundup of my favourite discoveries from the past 30 (or less) days, and this month I have quite a few! I've tried very hard to keep the motivation alive (and it can be so hard when everything you want to do is staying under a pile of blankets and not move if not to grab a cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate) and if I did find it somewhere, I had to thank a few new little treats as well!

Candle - Millefiori Milano ; Tea Scented Erasers - Kikkerland ; Diary - Frankie Press ; Note Pads - Ikea

DESK STUFF

If there's one thing that makes me happy is new stationery. I'm waking up happy every morning just because I can put my hands onto my new beautiful Frankie Diary over and over again! It took quite a while to come and I have to remember to order it in advance next year and not when January has already started, but I'm completely fascinated by how a cute journal and organizing my things, to-do lists and little tasks/ideas in a pretty way can bring so much positivity to my work, schedule and general approach to what I have to do! I like to pair it up with my new Pink Note Pads from Ikea, which are the cutest (aren't they?!) and my Scented Tea Erasers that I can't stop talking about!

Talking of scents, I'm completely in love with my new Floral Romance Candle by Millefiori Milano - such a beautiful, spring-reminder, full, intense floral scent. It brings me to an extemporaneous springtime everytime I can smell the scent - and just having it there at my desk even if not lighted up yet, it fills the area with fresh floral notes that can't *not* make for a good start of the day!

TECH

You'll hear me talking about these earphones again very soon, but I couldn't resist mentioning them between my monthly favourites. I'm completely fascinated by Woodbuds's ethics: their earphones are made out of bio-pastic and naturally crafted wood, their packaging is 100% made from recyclable material, and every 100 sets of earphones they sell, they plant a new tree to give back to nature what they took! I love companies like that, they make spending a few more pennies completely worth!

Plants, vases, pots - Ikea ; Clear Glass Mug - Ikea

HOME

On a complete spring-ish, floral theme, I'm also loving anything green! I've a bunch of tulips on my dressing table, and it's brightening up the room as nothing else! I also love all the little Ikea pot plants, they make for a cute little touch of green to add to any workspaces!

I feel like I mention a new mug in every monthly favourites post! But recently I'm obsessed with clear glass mugs and this one from Ikea is the latest entry of a way-too-crowded mugs pantry. I love the clean look of this, and I mainly use it with cappuccino or layered lattes, and the effect is beautiful, but tea looks amazing in there too! ... next on my list? This beauty!

Zebra Printed Blouse ℅ Sheinside

STYLE

I might need to start buying spring clothes - that would make me a very happy girl! Meanwhile I'm appreciating everything that reminds me of spring and that can be worn on those recent odd few days of sunshine too. I'm in love with the pattern of this new blouse of mine and I've a feeling I'm going to get so much wear out of it in springtime and summertime - but it's also perfect to be layered under cardigans and sweaters until the weather will be a little bit nicer!

Eat Pretty

READ

I had quite a tough time at reading last year, but I'm trying to keep the motivation alive recently and Eat Pretty is just so interesting that was the right one to start from to get back into a reading routine! I'll move on to novels soon, but for now reading about food and getting to know what I put into my body a little bit better, what's good for me and what's not, what I should try to replace and with what, has been very fascinating! I highly suggest giving this book a read, it's a nice one just to go back to when you feel like eating healthier, and it suggests (not forces) you what's actually good for your body health! ... plus, look at those illustrations, it's just a pleasing book to browse through!

Let me know what has been on your favourites list this month! x
